Bam Adebayo has received some nice press from ESPN; one of the perks of being a Kentucky product. He was also an honor roll student and a McDonald’s All-American.
It sounds like this kid has some real passion for the game and could make a great energy guy, something the Jazz seem to have lacked at times since Trevor Booker departed.
While he is the headliner I had for this post, one of the more knowledgeable Fansiders did an excellent analysis of Adebayo, calling him “too limited for the first round.”
Katy Perry fan. Who can blame him? Her music can be kinda fun, right?

To ESPN writer Myron Medcalf, <a href=https://thejnotes.com/2017/05/18/prospects-watch-utah-jazz-nba-draft/"http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/17961392/kentucky-wildcats-edrice-adebayo-big-man-bigger-personality">Adebayo described himself as someone with “a motor, who just doesn’t give up on plays.” He continued, “It’s just always been me. I’ve just never liked giving up on anything. It’s a bunch of us. We got our dogs on the team. Just like, the other dude in front of you, it’s personal. You take everything personal when you’re on the court.”

It’s crazy. Having the presence of Bam down there, knowing if you get beat off the dribble, somebody is back there to block it or if you get stuck in the air on offense, you can just throw it up, he’ll catch it.”

Perhaps the Jazz should hope he falls to the second round, eh Chris Reichert?

Sounds like Rodney didn’t respond the way he needed to in order to earn his starting spot back. Kennard isn’t the only Dukie that the Jazz could draft who could wait in the wings to replace Hood.

volatile prospect,” which usually means there’s a high ceiling, but also a stronger possibility of hitting his projected floor.

Giles tore his ACL in high school and was able to rehab it and play for Duke this year. Sam Vecenie seemed to see a player with a ridiculously high ceiling when he saw him dominate in AAU play prior to the injury. The key to where Giles is drafted seems to be what teams know about his health and how much they’re willing to roll the dice.

If Giles manages to slip to the Jazz it seems like a no-brainer that they should take him. His high ceiling — if he’s able to regain some of the athleticism he displayed in high school — could be a huge help to the team. It seems that he could be worth consideration if the Jazz try to package the two picks together to move up.

Taking Giles may be a considerable risk. Depending on how the offseason plays out it may very well be worth taking that risk.

Johnathan Motely, Baylor, PF

The Jazz should be very familiar with <a href=https://thejnotes.com/2017/05/18/prospects-watch-utah-jazz-nba-draft/"http://www.nbadraft.net/players/johnathan-motley">Johnathan Motley, seeing as he plays on the same team as GM Dennis Lindsey’s son. NBAdraft.net describes him as: “An extremely long, rangy big man with a versatile offensive game.”

This would fit right in with a Jazz team that could use a versatile stretch four. He has not shot from three much in college, having only 13 attempts to his name last season. Nevertheless, he could be interesting as a small ball center if he can adapt his game.

With this in mind, he could fit in very well for the Jazz; he just needs to develop a consistent outside shot.
