2. Myles Turner
Despite interest for the better part of the past two years, the Pacers still haven’t moved Myles Turner, and with all the extra draft capital from the Rudy Gobert trade, the Jazz should take advantage and add a layer of offense at the center position that they’ve not had for a decade. With his shot blocking and three point shooting abilities, he’d give this offense yet another layer, and even if his defensive abilities aren’t at the level of a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, he’s good enough in that role for this team to still be effective at that end of the floor.
At this point, it’s hard to tell exactly what Indiana wants for Turner, but if Utah can use picks and a young player or two (Walker Kessler, Malik Beasley etc) to pry him away from the Pacers, but he’d make the perfect pairing to the offensive abilities this team already has. The Jazz sent a clear message when it was Gobert they traded instead of Mitchell, looking to upgrade their offense, and with that in mind, Turner, with a combination with one of the other players on this list would make this team very dangerous, and someone is going to step up and finally make a move for Turner, so why not Utah?
Utah Jazz have a big decision to make before the 2022 season, as trading Donovan Mitchell may be the best course of action for this franchise, but if they intend on keeping their 2018 first-round draft pick, how does the franchise go forward in building a winner? With three years left on Spida’s contract, and with all the assets this team now possess after the Rudy Gobert trade, there’s a window upcoming for the Jazz to build a team that can contend in a few years, and potentially convince No. 45 to stay in Salt Lake City for the long haul.

It’s not going to be easy, and when the decision to go forward with Mitchell is made, it may take some time to overhaul this team around him, but if done properly, Utah could field a team with the potential to win in 2022/23, as well as grow together as a squad for future success. Ultimately, it’s more likely than not that the Jazz look to get maximum assets back for Donovan Mitchell, but if the team decides they can build a winner around him in the three years he’s got left, these are three players they should target to make that process happen (while they may not have the assets to get all three, if they could swing it, the Jazz would become an elite squad in the West).
<!—pageview_candidate—>

3. John Collins

The Jazz have lacked athleticism and an offensive threat at the power-forward spot for a number of years now, and with the threat that Donovan Mitchell and Jordan Clarkson possess, bringing in John Collins to be another threat would be the perfect fit for this Jazz squad. His athleticism as well as high-upside potential would be perfect to grow alongside Mitchell, and even if he already has that in Trae Young, Atlanta are looking to re-tool for a long playoff run, and dealing Collins would alleviate any cap stress, as well as get them some future assets back that they lost in the Dejonte Murray deal.

It’s hard to say whether Atlanta would want to deal one of their homegrown young players, but if there’s any chance at all, Collins is the type of player that would help Utah now, as well as in the future when looking to build this team into a genuine contender. Whether it’s Collins or another athletic forward, giving the Jazz backcourt a lob threat and another option when they drive to the hoop will help transform this offensive unit, and if it is Collins and Utah are able to unlock him, they’ll have a fantastic pairing with plenty of upside and room to grow.
<!—pageview_candidate—>

1. Collin Sexton

Collin Sexton and the Utah Jazz have been attached in rumours for quite some time now, and if the Jazz want to keep Mitchell in Salt Lake City and have success, then finding him a young, athletic back-court partner like Sexton may be the way to do it. Sure, Mike Conley is great, and he’s been a good leader for this team in his time rocking the Jazz Note, but he just doesn’t provide the explosive, intense energy that Sexton brings, and while his floor is much higher than the Cavs guard, his ceiling at this point in his career simply doesn’t match up.

Together, these two would make the best backcourt in Utah Jazz history, and even after coming back from a serious leg injury, there’s no reason to think that Sexton won’t be able to not only get back to his pre-injury form, but improve upon it over time. With Darius Garland taking over the young, potentially great squad in Cleveland, it makes sense that Sexton wants to move on, and after not liking the Cavs offer to him, it seems like only a matter of time until he’s dealt.

While Utah have been linked to Sexton by rumours, there’s been no reports that the two sides have been talking, but if there is a genuine desire to keep Mitchell now and into the future, this one just makes too much sense for both sides.
