Shooting is arguably the most important trait in the NBA today, but if you have a team full of athlete’s, you’ll always be able to compete. While the Jazz came up short against Philadelphia, they flashed plenty of athleticism, with alley-oops and breakaway dunks coming often and impressively.
Sure, this isn’t going to win anyone on this roster a spot in the NBA, but Kofi Cockburn, Bruno Caboclo and Isaiah Miller all proved they can hang in the air, and with a little more scoring and more top tier talent, this could be one of the more fun teams to watch at Summer League.
With so many unproven guys on this roster, making highlight plays can get some good attention, but that will only take you so far, as these promising young players need to show a fleshed out game, rather than a quick highlight or two. Still, it’s definitely worth noting how often the Jazz got to the rim with a highlight dunk in this game, and if they can work in some of the bigger names like Kessler and Juzang over the next few weeks to add to this, we could be looking at a very fun squad.
Utah Jazz looked clumsy and unorganized against the star power of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and while they left night two with yet another loss, the team showed plenty of improvement, with flashes from several players that may indicate potential at the next level. It’s been just two days, and the Jazz don’t have a Chet Holmgren, Nikola Jovic or Keegan Murray on their squad, but after game two, there’s plenty more for Jazz fans to look forward too, as the team as a whole improved tremendously, even if they fell away in crunch time late in this one.

The improvement after one game is a big time positive, and if the Jazz can bring in some of their bigger names for Las Vegas Summer League, then Utah fans have plenty to look forward too, but after seeing some other stellar performances across the league, it’s safe to say that Utah are certainly a step or two behind.

Either way, Jazz fans can take away plenty from game number two of summer league, and even if this squad is still yet to get on the board with a victory, there are signs that this squad is building, with players that may one day have potential at the next level.
